Romania will take on Georgia in their final warm-up game ahead of the 2016 European Championship finals, Romania FA has confirmed.
The Tricolori, who finished their Euro 2021 qualifying campaign in second place in Group F, face the Eastern European side on 3 June in front of home fans, but the venue has yet to be chosen.
Anghel Iordanescu’s men kick off their preparations for the upcoming showpiece tournament in France with a friendly game against title holders Spain on March 27.
There was some controversy regarding the national team of late as the national team boss decided to call nine Steaua players for the national team camp in Turkey, but Steaua coach Laurentiu Reghecampf strongly disagreed with the decision.
The training camp will be held in Belek, Antalya from 25 January to 6 February, and Romania are expected to play a total of three games there, with China and Bahrain mentioned as potential opponents.
Romania have been drawn alongside Switzerland, Albania and hosts France in Group A at Euro 2021, and they face a tough task of progressing to the knockout rounds.
