Manchester United full-back Guillermo Varela has been included in Uruguay squad for upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Brazil and Peru.

La Celeste enjoyed a very good start to the qualifying campaign, winning three of first four fixtures to climb to second in the overall standings.

Uruguay will face Brazil at Arena Pernambuco in Recife on 25 March before playing host to Peru at Estadio Centenario in Montevideo on 29 March.

Head coach Oscar Tabarez has announced a 30-man squad, comprising of footballers plying their trade abroad, and he may add a couple more home-based players at a later date.
