Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh has decided to recall a number of star players as he named a 24-man squad for October friendlies vs Congo and Cameroon.
The Super Eagles shared spoils with Tanzania before defeating Niger in an international friendly at the start of Oliseh’s reign and they will now be hoping to show further improvement.
The talented coach has revealed the list of 24 players that will be in contention for October 8 match against Congo and October 11 clash with Cameroon.
Oliseh opted to hand call ups to John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses, Odion Ighalo and Ogenyi Onazi after they had been surprisingly left out of his first roster.
Meanwhile, Haruna Lukman was overlooked following a disappointing performance vs Tanzania, whilst Izunna Uzochukwu misses out as well despite recovering from injury.
Nigeria will play the two friendly matches on Belgian soil, making it easier for players based in Europe to attend the games, with the Super Eagles expected to gather in Belgium on 5 October.
If you are looking to back Nigeria in either of the two games, make sure to check out the Coral Acca Club promotion and learn how to receive up to £100 in free bets.
