Chile head coach Juan Antonio Pizzi has announced the list of 18 players for upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Argentina and Venezuela.
The Copa America holders play host to La Albiceleste on 24 March in Santiago before facing La Vinotinto in Barinas five days later.
The national team coach has now announced the squad of 18 footballers plying their trade outside Chile, with the home-based players list set to follow.
As expected, Espanyol defender Enzo Roco makes the squad, but Rosario Central striker Marcelo Larrondo misses out through injury after switching his allegiance from Argentina.
San Lorenzo defender Paulo Diaz and Veracruz midfielder Fernando Menezes have been the surprise inclusions, while Atalanta’s Mauricio Pinilla returns.
Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo is in the squad despite clashing with national team bosses, while star names Gary Medel, Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez all keep their places.
Eduardo Vargas misses out through suspension, whereas Jorge Valdivia and Charles Aranguiz have been ruled out through injury.
