Tottenham Hotspur vs West Bromwich Albion prediction

The Spurs still have a chance to lift the trophy in May and they will go for all three points on Monday night against West Bromwich Albion, but that could prove to be a difficult task, since the Baggies are undefeated at White Hart Lane since 2012.

The unstoppable Kane

Tottenham are on fire with a 7/0 goal difference in the last couple of matches. After demolishing Manchester United on home soil, they went to Britannia Stadium and hammered Stoke (4-0). Dele Alli and Harry Kane both scored a brace for the Spurs, getting two points closer to the Foxes. Harry Kane is simply unstoppable in recent games, his amazing run got him on the top of goal scoring charts, with 24 goals on his tally. The young forward will lead the attack once again against WBA, and if he continues his positive streak, the points are practically in the bag. Dele Alli is one of the revelations of the season, with 10 goals and 9 assists to his name, while Christian Eriksen provides necessary support from the midfield, with 12 assists so far. Pochettino’s charges achieved five victories in their last six home matches and they are considered as favorites in the forthcoming clash.

Mauricio Pochettino cannot count on Nabil Bentaleb, due to his knee injury. Clinton N’Jie was having trouble with his knee problem, but could be on the bench.

The Baggies suffer from a dip in form

After the defeat against Arsenal, West Brom will further their stay in the capital, since they visit the Spurs. The Baggies are on a five-game winless run in the league, losing four and netting a single goal in the spell. After the goal against the Red Devils, Salomon Rondon is on a barren run, while Berahino achieved his last netting in February, so WBA’s attack is practically useless of late. Tony Pulis’ men have a ten-point cushion between them and the danger zone, and they practically secured their survival in the Premiership, so they can afford this drop in form. However, their recent three visits to White Hart Lane were quite successful, since they recorded a win and two draws in the spell, but given the current form of the hosts, it is hard to expect they will further the positive run, especially bearing in mind that West Bromwich Albion did not win in any of their games played in London this term.

James Morrison is close to recover from his hamstring injury, but will miss out the match against the Spurs, as well as Chris Brunt (cruciate ligament injury) and Alex Pritchard (thigh).

Quick Facts

  • WBA are undefeated in their last three visits to White Hart Lane (W1 D2)
  • The Spurs netted three in both of their last two home matches
  • West Brom are five without a win on the road
  • Their previous four meetings at White Hart lane saw less than 2.5 goals
  • Harry Kane scored 8 goals in six league matches

Tottenham Hotspur vs West Bromwich Albion betting tip

In my opinion, the winner of the upcoming game is already decided, since there is no possible way for the Baggies to surprise the Spurs. The only question remaining is the end result, and judging by Tottenham’s current effectiveness, we can expect a lot of fireworks at White Hart Lane.
