Brazil, Argentina, United States and Mexico have been chosen as four teams that will be seeded for the Copa America Centenario draw.
The competition scheduled to celebrate 100 years of the CONMEBOL and Copa America will be held from 3 June to 26 June in United States, with 16 teams taking part.
The CONCACAF and CONMEBOL association have now announced that South American giants Brazil and Argentina as well as rivals United States and Mexico will be the four seeded teams at the tournament finals.
United States national soccer team have been awarded the top seed in Group A as tournament hosts, whilst Argentina are top seed in Group D as the most successful South American team in the FIFA rankings.
Meanwhile, Brazil and Mexico assume the first positions in Groups B and C “as the most decorated nations in the last 100 years in international competitions from their respective confederations.”
The likes of Venezuela, Uruguay, Ecuador, Jamaica, Paraguay, Peru, Costa Rica, Colombia, Bolivia and Chile have also qualified for the tournament finals.
The final two participants will be determined on 8 January as Panama and Cuba as well as Trinidad and Tobado and Haiti battle for the final two berths.
