Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta is expecting a successful campaign for his country at the 2016 European Championship finals in France.
Spanish national team head to France as the reigning European champions and consecutive title winners, and Andres Iniesta has told FIFA’s official site that his side have their sights set on another trophy.
The most decorated Spanish player in history and La Roja captain believes that Del Bosque’s team has what it takes to go all the way in France.
“I think we’ve got the squad to do it. Like everything else in life, the national team has been through changes. We’re looking to play a positive game and get the fans right behind us again.”, he said.
Spain had a successful qualifying campaign behind them as they finished top of their Group C, five points clear of the second-placed Slovakia.
La Roja have been drawn in group D for the 2016 European Championship finals and will begin their journey to the title battling against Czech Republic, Turkey and Croatia.
Spain have been made favourites to win their group and are standing at 5.5 (9/2) @Coral to retain the European title in France.
