Hungary vs Belgium Team News

Attila Fiola remains a doubt, while Zoltan Gera picked up a knock against Portugal and he will be monitored ahead of the kick off. Coach Bernd Storck rested several first-team regulars in the 3-3 draw with A Selecao, but he is likely to field the best possible side against Belgium in the Euro 2021 last 16. Adam Szalai is widely expected to lead the attack for the Hungarians.

Injured: None

Doubtful: Attila Fiola (15/0), Zoltan Gera (92/25)

Suspended: None

Belgium coach Marc Wilmots is unlikely to make too many changes to the team that faced Sweden. Moussa Dembele, though, is rated doubtful and there is every chance Radja Nainggolan will start the match. Romelu Lukaku missed several clear-cut chances to score in the 1-0 win over Sweden, but he should keep his place in the starting line-up. Vincent Kompany misses the tournament with injury.

Injured: None

Doubtful: Moussa Dembele (62/5)

Suspended: None

Quick Facts

  • Under 2.5 goals were scored in four of Belgium’s last five games at Euro finals
  • Hungary suffered only one loss in previous eight matches
  • Belgium are eyeing their fourth consecutive win over Hungary
  • Bernd Storck’s team are after their first ever triumph over Belgium
  • Eden Hazard could earn his 66th cap for Belgium against Hungary

Hungary vs Belgium Prediction

Belgium did not make a flying start to their Euro 2021 campaign, with the team losing to Italy in their opener. However, the Red Devils did well to crush Republic of Ireland in their second group game and they will be looking to build on the performance they produced in the 1-0 victory over Sweden when they face Hungary in the Euro 2021 last 16. Taking everything into account, I am tempted to put my money on Eden Hazard and Co.

Betting Tip: Belgium to win
