Talented forward Josip Drmic and Paul-Georges Ntep have both been ruled out of the Euro 2021 finals through injury, it has been revealed.
Switzerland national team has suffered a major blow at the start of their preparations for the showpiece tournament as the Hamburg striker picked up a season-ending injury.
Drmic has undergone a knee surgery after picking up injury at the weekend, meaning he will not be in contention for the Euro 2021 finals.
The 23-year-old had a big role to play in helping the Rossocrociati book their ticket to France, scoring 4 goals in 9 qualifiers.
At the same time, Rennes starlet Paul-Georges Ntep had a surgery to repair a tibia problem and he, too, will miss the European Championships.
This should not be such a big problem for the France national team boss Didier Deschamps, who has a number of quality forwards at his disposal, but les Bretons striker would have been taken into consideration.
The two sides have been placed in Group A at the Euro 2021 and they will square off at Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille on 19 June.
