San Jose Earthquakes sign Panama international Anibal Godoy

MLS side San Jose Earthquakes added Panama midfielder Anibal Godoy to their squad on Thursday.

The 25-year-old footballer did remarkably well to help his national team win third place at the 2015 Gold Cup and it has to be noted that he started five of their six games.

“Anibal is a player that we have had our eyes on for a few years. We have watched him in person on numerous occasions, including at the most recent Gold Cup, and he has impressed us every time.

We are excited to bring Anibal to San Jose and believe he will be a valuable part of the team.”, said John Doyle, San Jose general manager.

Anibal Godoy has 54 caps for Panama and he scored one goal for los Canaleros.

The former Honved footballer began his career at Panamian side Chepo and he played more than 100 matches for the club.
