Barcelona full-back Martin Montoya has a long list of suitors among Europe’s top sides, according to his official representative.
After the Catalans agreed to sign Aleix Vidal and Dani Alves extended his contract, the talented defender has set his sights on leaving Camp Nou this summer.
And it looks as though the Spaniard will have no problems finding a new club, at least that is what his agent has suggested.
“I can say that there are some clubs in England very interested in Martin Montoya,” agent Juan de Dios Carrasco confessed to IBTimes.
“But also in Italy and Germany. I cannot confirm the names of the English clubs interested yet. We have to think about everything and see what is the best for the future of the player.
“I understand that everything is negotiable but I am yet to meet with the club [Barcelona] officials so we don’t know their exact intentions yet.
“I’m waiting for a call from them and hopefully we can meet in the coming days to clarify the situation.”
Martin Montoya, 24, came through the youth ranks at Camp Nou and went on to make 45 La Liga appearances for the Catalans.
