Venezuela squad for Peru, Chile qualifiers announced

Venezuela coach Noel Sanvicente has announced a 26-man squad for 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Chile.

La Vinotinto had a shocking start to the qualifying campaign, losing all four matches, and they now face an uphill task to get their campaign back on track.

Venezuela face Peru on 24 March at Estadio Nacional de Lima before playing host to Copa America holders Chile on 29 March at Estadio Agustin Tovar in Barinas.

Considering that Roberto Rosales, Jose Manuel Velazquez and Luis Seijas are all suspended for the Peru game, coach Noel Sanvicente opted to include 26 players in his latest squad.

The boss opted to leave out star players Alejandro Guerra (50/4) and Ronald Vargas (22/3), while West Bromwich striker Jose Salomon Rondon is included.

Granada forward Adalberto Penaranda, Tachira midfielder Carlos Cermeno and Carcas goalkeeper Wuilker Farinez are the three uncapped players in the squad.
