Gerardo Martino has moved to announce his 24-man squad that will represent Argentina in September friendlies on United States soil.
La Albiceleste face Bolivia at the BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston on September 4 before squaring off with 2015 Gold Cup winners Mexico at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas four days later.
Argentina national team coach Gerardo Martino has called a total of 24 players to his roster, with the only new name being River Plate defender Ramiro Funes Mori.
Even if some sources suggested that Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi could miss the two friendly games, he has been included in the list, alongside other star players.
The star-studded roster is enough to suggest that Tata Martino does not want to experiment before the start of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, where Argentina host Ecuador in their opening fixture.
After finishing as runners up at two straight major tournaments, La Albiceleste will want to qualify for the World Cup in style, and then try to finally win the coveted trophy.
