FYR Macedonia are expected to be without key midfielder Arijan Ademi in September qualifiers, according to the player’s employers Dinamo Zagreb.
The highly rated footballer suffered an injury in weekend’s triumph over HNK Split, but the problem was not believed to be serious.
However, Dinamo Zagreb has now revealed that Ademi will be out for around 20 days through a partial rupture of an abdominal muscle.
This makes Ademi a major doubt for FYR Macedonia’s Euro 2021 qualifiers vs Luxembourg and Spain, scheduled for 5 September and 8 September.
The Red Lions have already lost all chances to qualify for the tournament finals, but they will want to show some improvement after losing last four qualifiers.
Arijan Ademi has become an important member of the side after switching his allegiance from Croatia, scoring one goal in four appearances for the national team.
