Norway vs Iceland Team News

Four uncapped players have been included in Norway squad for Iceland friendly: Martin Samuelsen, Ruben Gabrielsen, Jonas Svensson and Ulrik Yttegard Jenssen. The likes of Tarik Elyounoussi, Alexander Soderlund, Alexander Tettey, Per Cijan Skjelbred and Tom Hogli all miss out, while Marcus Pedersen suffered an injury and he is definitely out of contention. Goalkeeper Rune Almenning Jarstein is sidelined with a shoulder injury, whereas Joshua King is likely to keep his place up front. Martin Odegaard misses the match due to club commitments.

Injured: Marcus Pedersen, Rune Almenning Jarstein

Experienced striker Eidur Gudjohnsen is in Iceland Euro 2021 squad, with the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson and Aron Einar Gunnarson making the cut as well. However, the Cardiff City footballer misses the Norway game with injury. The likes of Birkir Mar Sævarsson, Rúnar Már Sigurjónsson, Hjörtur Hermannsson, Kári Árnason and Halldorsson are all likely to be rested against Norway, whilst Kolbein Sightorsson remains in the treatment room.

Norway vs Iceland Prediction

Iceland continue their preparations for Euro 2021 finals and, no doubt, Lars Lagerback’s troops will take Wednesday’s game against Norway very seriously. The Norwegians head into the game with a severely-weakened squad and considering that the Icelanders outplayed Greece in their last warm-up game, I believe that there is a certain value in betting on the visitors this time out.

Betting Tip: Iceland not to lose

Odds: 1.60 (3/5) @bet365
