Poor performance against Sevilla
Villarreal are still sitting in the Champions League berth in La Liga standings, but Sunday’s 4-2 defeat to Sevilla might prove fatal for the Camp Rl Madrigal outfit. The Yellows are just five points clear of fifth-placed Sevillanos in the standings and given that Marcelino’s men take on Barcelona at their Camp El Madrigal on Sunday, Unai Emery’s team could melt Villarreal’s advantage to just two points.
