Borussia M’gladbach vs Hertha prediction

Borussia M’gladbach will be looking to record their fifth consecutive league win over Hertha when the two teams face each other at Stadion im Borussia-Park on Sunday. The capital club are eyeing a place in the Champions League, but they will have a big fish to fry this time out.

Borussia impressive at home

Borussia M’gladbach are a team with two faces. Die Fohlen have been producing thrilling displays at home, but they are away record is anything but good. Andre Schubert’s team are after their fifth straight win at their Stadion im Borussia-Park and you should know that they are eyeing their 11th home triumph of the season. Borussia have been playing on three fronts this season, but seeing that they have already suffered elimination in both German Cup and the Champions League, die Fohlen will be fully focused on the Bundesliga in the remainder of the season. Borussia M’gladbach scored 13 goals in last four home games in the national championship, but when Hertha comes to town, everything is impossible. Raffael has netted 13 goals in 27 appearances this season and the Brazilian attacker is likely to pose a big threat for the opposition defenders.

Alvaro Dominguez, Schulz and Raffael are all out of contention with injury, but coach Andre Schubert has no other injury worries ahead of the visit of Hertha. Stindl and Hazard are likely to be deployed up front.

Ups and downs on the road

Hertha are having a season to remember. The capital club sit in the Champions League berth ahead of Matchday 28 and they will be looking to strengthen their grip on third position in the Bundesliga standings with a victory over Borussia M’gladbach on Sunday evening. Pal Dardai’s men recorded a 2-1 win over Ingolstadt in their last home fixture in the national championship, but they have been having their ups and downs on the road and it has to be noted that they suffered two defeats, while recording two wins in previous four away fixtures in the league. The capital club will certainly be happy with one point from Sunday’s clash against Borussia M’gladbach and it remains to be seen if they are capable of recording their first victory at Stadion im Borussia-Parl since 2008. Salomon Kalou is the team’s top scorer (13), meaning that the opposition defenders should have him at bay.

Brooks and Kurt are both out of contention, but coach Pal Dardai has no other injury worries ahead of the trip to Monchengladbach. Pekarik is likely to replace Brooks in the starting line-up.

Borussia M’gladbach vs Hertha betting tip

The two teams seem to be evenly matched at the moment. Both sides are eyeing a place in European competitions and there is every chance we will see a lively contest at Stadion im Borussia-Park. However, seeing that die Fohlen are a real force to be rreckoned with at home, I believe that there is a big value in betting on Andre Shuberts’ troops.
