N’Golo Kante to represent France at Euro 2021?

Leicester City’s sensation N’Golo Kante could be in line to make it to the France squad for the European Championship finals 2016.

One of the best players in Claudio Ranieri’s team this season, whose rise to prominence has been nothing short of impressive is attracting a lot of attention in the football community.

Kante has earned a lot of praise for his mature and commanding displays for the Foxes in the Premier League and is currently under consideration from France boss Didier Deschamps for the national team of his native country.

Born in Paris, the 24-year-old has never represented France before, but he was asked to play for Mali, his parent’s native country.

Kante was reportedly not ready for the international football in the past, but the midfielder is currently undecided over the matter.

Speaking to L’Equipe following the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal this weekend, N’Golo Kante is not ruling out the possibility of playing for France should Didier Deschamps choose to call him up.

“For the moment, I haven’t taken a decision. We will see what happens, I am concentrating on my club,” he said.

Euro 2021 hosts begin their European journey from group A where they will play against Romania, Albania and Switzerland.
