Swansea City vs Stoke City prediction

Out-of-form Swansea City will be aiming to put an end to their four-game winless run in the Premier League when they take on Stoke City on Monday night. The Potters head into the match following back-to-back wins over Bournemouth and Aston Villa and they could pose a big threat for the Swans at Liberty Stadium.

Swans struggling to find their form

Swansea City kicked off the new Premier League campaign in great manner, with the team managing to beat star-studded Manchester United on day 4. However, the team Welsh outfit have been struggling to find their form ever since and they are on a four-match winless run ahead of Monday’s encounter against Stoke City. The Swans are eager to return to winning ways and, no doubt, coach Garry Monk is under big pressure ahead of day 9 of the 2015/2021 Premier League campaign. Andre Ayew prove his worth in a 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur just before the international break and the Ghana international will be the man to watch in the home side. Bafetimbi Gomis, on the other hand, has been struggling to find his form of late and it has to be noted that he failed to score in last five matches in all competitions.

Garry Monk has a full squad to choose from and he is unlikely to make changes to the team that faced Tottenham Hotspur. The English tactician is likely to stick to the 4-2-3-1 formation.

Stoke can be backed at 10/1 special price to win at Liberty Stadium.

Back-to-back wins

Following a 2-1 win over newcomers Bournemouth, Stoke City outplayed Aston Villa at Villa Park in their last Premier League fixture. As a result, the Potters escaped the relegation zone, but it has to be noted that they are just five points clear of bottom three ahead of the trip to Wales. Mark Hughes’ men certainly regained a much-needed confidence and they will be looking to build on the back-to-back wins over Cherries and Villans when they take on Swansea City on Monday evening. It is well known, though, that Stoke struggle on the travels and I am not sure if away win should be considered this time out. Marko Arnautovic scored the winning goal for the Potters in the 1-0 victory over Aston Villa and he will be one of the men to watch in the away side. The bad news for the fans is that key attacker Mame Biram Diouf following the death of his mother. In his absence, Irish attacker Jonathan Walters will lead the attack for the visitors against Swansea.

Mame Biram Diouf is definitely out of contention, while Ryan Shawcross is a major doubt and he will be assessed on the match day. Bojan Krkic is widely expected to keep his place in the starting XI.

Swansea City vs Stoke City betting tip

Swansea City are superior to Swansea City and seeing that the Swans are a real force to be reckoned with at home, there is every chance Garry Monk’s men will put an end to their four-match winless run in the Premier League. Stoke City head into the match without key attacker Mame Diouf and there is every chance the Potters will return home empty-handed. In their last meeting at Liberty Stadium Swansea City recorded a routine win over Stoke City, with Montero and Ki scoring for the Swans.

Tip: Home win
