Winger Cristian Rodriguez (89/9) suffered an injury in the 2-0 victory over Bolivia and he will not be in contention for the second 2018 World Cup qualifier against Colombia.

Egidio Arevalo Rios (73/0) has been found the presence of corticosteroids in his blood following an injury treatment at his club and he was forced to leave the national team due to the fact that this substance is prohibited.

Maxi Pereira will be back to the starting line-up after being left out of the previous match due to his struggles when it comes to playing at high altitude.

Star forwards Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani serve the final match of their two-game suspensions, with Martin Caceres set to replace Alvaro Pereira on the left hand side.

Important midfielder Macnelly Torres (39/3) missed the 2-0 triumph over Peru through a knee injury, but he has since resumed training and should be in contention for the Uruguay game.

Pablo Armero (66/2), James Rodriguez (38/12), Edwin Valencia (19/0) and Daniel Bocanegra (3/0) had been earlier ruled out through injury.
