Italian daily newspaper Secolo XIX is reporting that Leicester City are on the verge of signing Sampdoria youngster Pedro Pereira.
The Premier League leaders appear to be looking to further reinforce their ranks in the winter transfer window and could soon announce their first signing.
According to Secolo XIX, Leicester City are in advanced talks with Sampdoria over talented right-back Pedro Pereira.
What is more, the deal worth around €10 million should be finalised in the next few weeks, probably in the opening days of the January window.
This may seem like a lot to pay for the 17-year-old footballer who only has eight Serie A appearances to his name, but the Foxes clearly decided to act before other top clubs have time to step up their interest.
Pedro Pereira has largely impressed since joining Sampdoria in the summer from Benfica and his remarkable rise looks set to continue.
