Ever since Aston Villa chiefs sold key striker Christian Benteke, they have been searching for new signings. Jordan Ayew has completed his move from Lorient, whilst Emanuel Adebayor is on the verge of signing a deal with the Villa Park outfit.
Manager Tim Sherwood, though, is eager to strengthen the team’s defence and he decided to sign a deal with Spanish full back Jose Angel Crespo.
The Cordoba player signed a three-year deal with Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee and, as a result, he became Villa’s seventh signing in the summer transfer window.
Jose Angel Crespo made 65 appearances in Primera Division and it has to be noted that he was sent off no more than once during his spell in the Spanish top flight.
The 28-year-old Spaniard used to play for the likes of Sevilla, Santander and Bologna in the past.
