Spanish daily newspaper El Desmarque is reporting that Valencia are keeping close tabs on Costa Rica international defender Oscar Duarte.
Los Che are almost certain to stay without Nicolas Otamendi this summer, who has been heavily linked with a move to English Premier League.
And it appears that Valencia are looking at Oscar Duarte as one of the potential replacements for the Argentine defender.
Oscar Duarte missed the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup through injury, but has since joined pre-season training at Club Brugge.
The 26-year-old joined the Belgian giants from Deportivo Saprissa in January 2013 and has since made 70 league appearances, scoring 7 goals.
Duarte has been capped 21 times by Costa Rica and he started four matches and scored one goal as Los Ticos reached the 2014 World Cup quarter-final.
His suitors Valencia have big ambitions for the upcoming season and they can be backed at 2.25 (5/4) to achieve a top 4 finish in La Liga.
