In order to celebrate the national football team’s Euro 2021 qualification, a supermarket in Cardiff decided to rename the aisles after Chris Coleman’s star players.
The Dragons secured their first ever appearance at the European Championships final with one game to spare, meaning the final Euro 2021 qualifier against Andorra will be a perfect opportunity for the country to celebrate the huge success.
Morrisons supermarket in Cardiff has already paid respect to the members of the Wales national team, having renamed their aisles after the country’s leading footballers.
“We have 20,000 products in our store and we think this might actually help our staff remember even better where the Marmite is, if they associate it with their favourite player,” Phil Parkinson, the store manager, was quoted as saying.
“Don’t be surprised if you come into store and you’re escorted down-field, past Richards and into the box with Hennessey for your orange juice.”
