Germany squad for Poland and Scotland qualifiers revealed

Germany squad for Poland and Scotland qualifiers revealedGermany national team coach Joachim Low has named 23 players in his squad for Euro 2021 qualifiers vs Poland and Scotland.

Die Mannschaft sit sandwiched between their next two opponents in the Group D standings, and they have been made 1.30 (3/10) favourites to see off Poland on 4 September and climb to the top of the group.

Germany also face a tough task against Scotland away just three days later and Joachim Low has named what he believes is the strongest squad for the two matches.

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can earns his first ever call-up to the Germany national team, whereas the likes of Toni Kroos (58/9), Thomas Muller (63/27) and Manuel Neuer (58/0) return to the side.

Mario Gomez (60/25), Julian Draxler (15/1) and Lars Bender (19/4) have been overlooked, whereas Lukas Podolski (125/48) and Andre Schurrle (46/20) are included.

Two wins in the next two Euro 2021 qualifiers would all but guarantee Germany a place at the tournament finals and they clearly remain the favourites to qualify from the top of the group.

Germany squad:

Goalkeepers: Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich), Marc-Andre Ter Stegen (Barcelona), Ron-Robert Zieler (Hannover 96);

Defenders: Jerome Boateng (Bayern Munich), Jonas Hector (FC Koln), Mats Hummels (Borussia Dortmund), Matthias Ginter (Borussia Dortmund), Shkodran Mustafi (Valencia), Sebastien Rudy (Hoffenheim);
