Russia coach Leonid Slutsky has made one change to the squad for Euro 2021 qualifiers against Moldova and Montenegro.
Sbornaya Komanda are two points clear of third-placed Sweden and they will qualify for the tournament finals if they win their remaining fixtures.
Russia are available at 1.73 (8/11) for a half-time/full-time win vs Moldova, but it has now been revealed that they will not be at full strength in that game.
Namely, Dynamo Moscow full-back Yuri Zhirkov (66/1) has withdrawn from the squad after suffering a leg injury in weekend’s derby match against CSKA Moscow.
Coach Leonid Slutsky in turn added the Army Men defender Georgi Schennikov (7/0) to the roster, with Dmitri Kombarov (34/2) now expected to start at left-back.
Having largely impressed in the two games under the new coach, Russia look a good bet to secure their place at the Euro 2021 finals.
