Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster has been sidelined with injury for the long ten months, but has not given up hope of making the cut to England’s Euro 2021 squad.
The 27-year-old shot-stopper reveals he is in constant contact with England manager Roy Hodgson, who has been hugely supportive during Forster’s rehabilitation process.
Forster has made a successful return to action and was in good form in a goalless draw against Arsenal on Tuesday night.
The former Celtic keeper still keeps his hopes of making it into the England’s Euro 2021 squad despite the good form of his rivals Joe Hart and Jack Butland.
With the recovery of Fraser Forster, England national team will have plenty of quality options between the sticks.
England have has a successful qualifying campaign in group E, finished first with 30 points, nine in front of Switzerland in second place.
Hodgson’s men have been drawn against Russia, Wales and Slovakia in Group B for their 2016 European Championship finals.
