Del Bosque names Spain squad for Slovakia, FYR Macedonia

Del Bosque names Spain squad for Slovakia, FYR Macedonia Spain national team coach Vicente Del Bosque has selected a total of 22 players for Euro 2021 qualifiers vs Slovakia and FYR Macedonia.

La Furia Roja trail the Group C leaders by three points and they are 1.30 (3/10) favourites to defeat Slovakia and further improve their chances of reaching the tournament finals.

Following the clash in Oviedo on 5 September, Spain will face FYR Macedonia on the road three days later and we now know which players will represent the country in those matches.

Manchester United keeper David De Gea (5/0) keeps his place despite the lack of first team action, with Sevilla’s Sergio Rico (0/0) included as well.

Bayern Munich starlet Thiago Alcantara (5/0) is not included despite recovering from injury, while Alvaro Morata (5/1) has failed to recover in time and he misses out.

Sevilla winger Vitolo (3/0) keeps his place, whereas Andres Iniesta (104/12) and Diego Costa (7/1) return as expected.

Defenders: Gerard Pique (Barcelona), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea), Juanfran (Atletico Madrid), Marc Bartra (Barcelona), Juan Bernat (Bayern), Jordi Alba (Barcelona);

Midfielders: Sergio Busquets (Barcelona), Koke (Atletico Madrid), Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea), Juan Mata (Manchester United), Santi Cazorla (Arsenal), David Silva (Manchester City), Isco (Real Madrid), Andres Iniesta (Barcelona);

Forwards: Diego Costa (Chelsea), Paco Alcacer (Valencia), Vitolo (Sevilla), Pedro (Chelsea).
