United States goalkeeper Cody Cropper is almost certain to miss the Olympic qualifying tournament through injury.
The MK Dons starlet is the first choice keeper for the USA Under-23 side and he has been named on Andreas Herzog’s roster for the CONCACAF Olympic qualifying tournament.
However, he was forced to undergo a surgery to repair a problem in his knee, and is now set to miss between four and six weeks of action.
And with said tournament taking place in the United States between October 1 and October 13, it is clear that Cropper will not be able to help his teammates.
This means that Zack Steffen will probably take over in goal following the impressive showing at the Under-20 World Cup, with Ethan Horvath to act as his replacement.
The USMNT will face Canada, Cuba and Panama in group stage, and they are obviously the favourites to progress to the next stage.
