Sweden vs Belgium Team News
Mikael Lustig missed the Italy game with injury, but he should recover in time to face Belgium. Martin Olsson has overcome his injury and he is likely to start. Coach Erik Hamren has no other selection worries ahead of the final group game. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has yet to find the net at Euro 2016 finals, but he is widely expected to lead the attack for the Swedes against Belgium. Marcus Berg could be deployed up front in the 4-4-2 formation alongside Ibra.
Moussa Dembele hopes that he should be fit to face Sweden on Wednesday evening. However, if he fails to recover in time to play against Erik Hamren’s troops, Radja Nainggolan will start. Coach Marc Wilmots has no other injury worries and there is every chance both Premier League stars Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne will keep their places in the starting XI. Yannick Carrasco was replaced by Dries Mertens in the 3-0 win over Ireland, but the Atletico Madrid winger should keep his place in the starting line-up.
Doubtful: Moussa Dembele (62/5)
- Sweden recorded only one win in previous six matches
- Erik Hamren’s men have yet to shoot on target at Euro 2016 finals
- 2 or 3 goals were scored in each of Belgium’s previous five games at Euro finals
- Under 2.5 goals were scored in five of last six meetings between the two teams
- Belgium are undefeated in previous three encounters against Sweden
Sweden vs Belgium Prediction
Thanks to a 3-0 win over Republic of Ireland Belgium managed to keep their hopes of booking their place in the Euro 2016 finals alive. The Red Devils aim to build on the triumph and seeing that Sweden have been struggling at the showpiece tournament in France, there is every chance Marc Wilmots’ troops will pick up all three points from their final group game. In their last meeting at Euro finals Belgium recorded a 2-1 win over Sweden (2000).
Betting Tip: Belgium to win
