Striker Robert Vittek misses both friendly against Georgia and Euro 2021 through injury, but Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel is included in the Slovakia squad despite missing a number of matches in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign with injury. Experienced attacker Marek Bakos did not make the squad. A man to watch in Jan Kozak’s team in Friday’s friendly against Georgia will be Serie A star Marek Hamsik. Quick Facts

  • Georgia aim to put an end to their four-game winless run
  • Slovakia suffered their last defeat on 9 October, 2015 (Belarus)
  • Over 3.5 goals were scored in four of Slovakia’s last five matches
  • Georgia recorded only one win in last seven matches away from home
  • Ketsbaia and Kavelashvili scored for Georgia in their only previous meeting against Slovakia (2-0)

Slovakia vs Georgia Prediction

Slovakia continue their preparations for the Euro 2021 and they are eager to return to winning ways following back-to-back draws with the likes of Latvia and Republic of Ireland. Georgia coach Vladimir Weiss is likely to use Friday’s friendly to test as many players as possible for the World Cup qualifying campaign opener against Austria (September). Anyhow, Slovakia are superior to Georgia at the moment and the visitors are unlikely to upset Marek Hamsik and his teammates at ASKO-Stadion Wels.
