The likes of Johnny Hayes, Alex Pearce, Paul McShane and Anthony Pilkington have been cut from the original squad of 35, while the likes of David Forde, David Meyler and Keiren Westwood all miss the Netherlands friendly do to club commitments. Ibrahim Afellay and Gregory van der Wiel did not make the squad. Jurgen Locadia and Bart Ramselaar have withdrawn, with Steven Berghuis called as replacement. Wesley Sneijder is not in contention as he is set to play for Galatasaray in the Turkish Cup final.
