Tottenham vs Norwich prediction
Having upset Manchester United at Old Trafford at the weekend, Norwich City will be looking to claim yet another major scalp in the Premier League when they take on Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Boxing Day.
Spurs eyeing a place in the Champions League
Following back-to-back draws with the likes of Chelsea and West Brom, Tottenham Hotspur suffered a shocking 2-1 loss to Newcastle United at their White Hart Lane. The Spurs, though, were more than unfortunate not to grab something from their last home fixture, but they quickly recovered from the defeat. The capital club recorded a 2-0 win over Southampton at St. Marry’s Stadium at the weekend and, as a result, they climbed to the Champions League berth in the Premier League standings for the first time this season. Mauro Pochettino’s men are eyeing a place in the elite competition and upcoming festive fixtures are of big importance for the Spurs. Tottenham are a real force to be reckoned with at home and it has to be noted that they have suffered no more than one loss at home ground in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign. Harry Kane has been in a fine form of late and all eyes will be on him when Tottenham take on Norwich City on Saturday.
Ryan Mason remains in the recovery room, but coach Mauro Pochettino has no other selection worries ahead of the visit of Norwich City. Nacer Chadli is pushing for a start.

Important win over Red Devils
Thanks to a brilliant 2-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford Norwich City proved the doubters wrong. The relegation strugglers put an end to their four-game winless run in the Premier League, with the team moving away from bottom three. Alex Neil’s troops head into Saturday’s game against Tottenham Hotspur full of confidence, but beating the Spurs at White Hart Lane is easier said than done. Anyhow, the visitors will leave their hearts on the field in order to pick up at least one point from the Boxing Day clash, which could help them in their battle for survival. Norwich City are not regarded as good travelers and it has to be noted that they have suffered four defeats in previous five away matches in the national championship. Cameron Jerome scored against Manchester United and he should be deployed up front as a lone striker.
Matt Jarvis is definitely out of contention, while Andre Wisdom is a major doubt and he faces a late fitness test. Coach Alex Neil is unlikely to make too many changes to the team that faced Manchester United.
Quick Facts
- Tottenham Hotspur have kept four clean sheets at home this season
- Spurs have suffered only two defeats in the 2015/2016 EPL campaign
- Norwich City have conceded 13 goals in previous six away matches
- The Canaries recorded their last win over Spurs at White Hart Lane in 2012
- Under 2.5 goals were scored in five of Norwich’s last six games
Tottenham vs Norwich betting tip
Tottenham Hotspur’s goal remains unchanged: the Spurs are determined to regain their place in the Champions League group stages. The team produced a thrilling display in the 2-0 win over Southampton and seeing that Norwich City have been struggling on the road this season, I believe that there is a certain value in betting on the capital club. Mauro Pochettino can count on all of his key players for the Boxing Day game and I do not believe that the Canaries are capable of spoiling Tottenham’s party at White Hart Lane.
