Real Madrid vs Sevilla betting tip

Real Madrid will be looking to build on a hard-fought win over Las Palmas when they take on Sevilla on Sunday evening. Los Sevillanos have yet to record an away win this season and they certainly face an uphill task in the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu clash.

La Liga title – mission impossible

Real Madrid experienced all sorts of problems in Sunday’s game against Las Palmas, but thanks to Casemiro’s late goal los Blancos recorded a hard-fought 2-1 win over los Amarillos. Zinedine Zidane’s troops extended their winning run in La Liga to three games, but as things stand now, they are unlikely to regain the domestic trophy. Barcelona look unstoppable at the moment and the Catalan giants, who are 12 points clear of the capital club in the La Liga standings, are likely to defend their trophy. Real Madrid, though, should mind their own business and seeing that their local rivals Atletico Madrid dropped three points in Saturday’s match against Sporting Gijon, Zinedine Zidane’s troops will not have better chance than this to melt Atletico’s advantage to one point. Ronaldo impressed in a 7-1 win over Celta in Real Madrid’s last home game and the opposition defenders should find it hard to contain the Portuguese superstar.

Pepe and Sergio Ramos both miss the game through suspension, but coach Zinedine Zidane has no fresh injury worries as Karim Benzema is fit and he should be recalled to the starting line-up.

Difficulties on the road

Thanks to a 3-0 win over Basel Sevilla booked their place in the Europa League quarter-finals and they will be looking to build on the triumph when they square off against Real Madrid at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday. Los Sevillanos have been producing splendid showings at their Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan this term, but the team struggle on the travels and it remains to be seen if they are capable of recording their first away win of the season. Unai Emery’s troops face an uphill task in Sunday’s game against Real Madrid and despite the fact that they are eyeing a place in the Champions League qualifiers, I do not believe that there is a big value in betting on the visitors, who are not regarded as good travelers. Kevin Gameiro scored a brace against Basel and he is widely expected to lead the line for the visitors against Real Madrid.

The likes of Pareja, Vitolo, Andreolli and N’Zonzi are all likely to miss the match with injury, while Ever Banega is sidelined through suspension. Krohn-Dehli is fit and he should start the match.

Quick Facts

  • Real Madrid are eyeing their ninth consecutive win over Sevilla at home
  • Los Blancos scored 3+ goals in eight of their last nine home fixtures in La Liga
  • Real Madrid are unbeaten in 30 of their previous 32 home games in the league
  • Sevilla recorded their last win at “Bernabeu” back in 2008 (4-3)
  • Los Sevillanos scored 1+ goals in each of their last four away games (La Liga)

Real Madrid vs Sevilla betting tip

Real Madrid are a real force to be reckoned with at home and they are likely to go all guns blazing at Sevilla on Sunday. Given Real Madrid’s attacking potential, there is every chance the capital club will score on Matchday 30, but considering that important defenders Pepe and Sergio Ramos both miss the game through suspension, I would not be surprised if Sevilla score on Sunday evening.

Tip: Both teams to score first half
