Celta Vigo vs Real Madrid prediction

Two top seeded teams open the Saturday match programme in a highly anticipated derby game at Balaidos. Celta and Real Madrid are tied on points and their game will be a chance to make a step forward in their pursuit for the title.

Celta target ‘El Clasico’ double

Eduardo Berizzo’s side have been the most positive surprise so far in the campaign, and are the only undefeated team alongside their Saturday’s rival. Celta Vigo have already stunned the current Spanish and European champions Barcelona in a comprehensive 4-1 home win and the game against Los Blancos will be a rare chance to make a double over the Spanish ‘Big Two’. Berizzo’s charges will be highly motivated in the upcoming game as they are coming off from a huge away win over Villareal 2-1 thanks to a late goal by Nolito. Celta Vigo star performer has been a subject of intense speculation with Barcelona, Arsenal and Chelsea most recently being strongly linked with a January move. The 29-year-old has singlehandedly lead Celta’s in their incredible start to the new campaign, having scored six goals and assisted two times in eight La Liga matches.

The Sky Blues are having their full crop of players at Berizzo’s disposal as Andreu Fontas, Jonny and Dejan Drazic have all been given the nod to be involved in action this weekend.

Real’s injury scares

Rafa Benitez’s charges are coming off from a disappointing goalless draw against Paris Saint Germain in their midweek UEFA Champions League trip to France. Their last La Liga game was a home win over Levante which propelled Los Blancos to the top of the standings for the first time in almost a month. Also an undefeated side, Real Madrid have been recently struggling with a lot of injuries to their key players and the upcoming derby against Celta will be a stern test for their injury-plagued team. Cristiano Ronaldo has been frustrated with his silent night in Paris which was made worse with the approach by UEFA’s doping officials for the random drug test. This isn’t the first time Portuguese star has complained about being bothered more than other players and there is no doubt he will have a point to prove in Saturday’s game. His scoring records have once again been impressive as he has recently become the club’s all-time top scorer. The total of Real’s 18 league goals this season have been split between Ronaldo and Benzema, with Portugese player scoring a majority of the total tally.

Rafa Benitez is without Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Pepe and Daniel Carvajal but Karim Benzema and Mateo Kovacic are back in contention.

Celta Vigo vs Real Madrid betting tip

Derby game will bring a lot of excitement for the anticipating crowd as we should all bear witness to an openly contested affair. Last two games between the two teams brought lot of goals and there is no reason why the free-scoring rivals should not continue the trend. If you are willing to skip the goals in this duel, try to back up the visitors who will have a point to prove in this game.

Tip: Away win
