Granada vs Las Palmas Team News

Nigerian striker Isaac Success faces a race against time to make the Las Palmas match, but everything suggests he will not be risked after suffering facial injuries in training. Dimitri Foulquier has been ruled out for the season through a broken foot, whereas Robert Ibanez has a muscle injury and Jean Sylvain Babin is suspended. Ruben Perez and Ricardo Costa return from bans.

Injured: Dimitri Foulquier (21/1), Robert Ibanez (18/0)

Doubtful: Isaac Success (30/6)

Suspended: Jean Sylvain Babin (23/2)

Experienced defender Dani Castellano misses out through suspension, whereas Javi Castellano remains sidelined through injury. Talented defender Mauricio Lemos Merladet is in the infirmary as well, while Raul Lizoain should continue in goal after performing well in the 4-0 victory over Espanyol.

Injured: Javi Castellano (1/0), Mauricio Lemos (9/0)

Suspended: Dani Castellano (25/0)

Quick Facts

  • Over 2.5 goals were scored in each of Granada’s last three league games
  • Los Granadinos are undefeated in previous five home fixtures in La Liga
  • Las Palmas recorded four wins in last five away matches in the league
  • Los Amarillos are after their first ever win at Granada
  • Under 2.5 goals were scored in six of Las Palmas’ last seven away games

Granada vs Las Palmas Prediction

Granada’s top flight status is in great danger, but the Andalusian outfit could escape the relegation zone with a win over Las Palmas, who have already secured the La Liga survival. The lack of motivation might prove to be a big problem for the visitors and I would not be surprised if they return home empty-handed. Los Granadinos rolled over fellow relegation strugglers Levante (5-1) in their last home game in La Liga and they are likely to pick up all three points from Saturday’s game against Las Palmas. Granada take on Sevilla at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Matchday 37, meaning that this has to go down as a must-win game for the hosts.
