Team News

The likes of Jonas Olsson (25/1), Erik Johansson (6/0) and Per Nilsson (16/0) all missed out on the Sweden squad through injury, whereas Johan Elmander (85/20) and Oscar Wendt (25/0) were overlooked.

Marcus Berg (33/9) and Jimmy Durmaz (27/2) both suffered injuries in the win over Liechtenstein and have been ruled out of the final Euro 2021 qualifier against Moldova.

Emil Forsberg (11/0) had earlier withdrawn through a thigh problem, with Anton Tinnerholm (3/0) called as his replacement. Martin Olsson is a major doubt with a sprained ankle, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic should start despite hurting his Achilles.

Coach Stefan Stoica is without important players Artur Ionita (19/2), Alexandru Epureanu (68/8) and Alexandry Dedov (29/2), with the trio missing the final two qualifiers through injury.

However, the good news is that Victor Golovatenco (61/3) and Alxandru Gatcan (46/3) will be back to the starting line-up after missing the Russia defeat through suspension.

Uncapped Roman Sumchin was added to the squad at a later date, while centre-back Igor Armas (44/2) is expected to keep his place after recovering from an illness to face Russia.

*Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored both goals in that game, while while also getting on the scoresheet on Friday. The PSG superstar is 2.95 (39/20) to score the first goal.
