Bayer Leverkusen vs Stuttgart prediction

Bayer get back to Bundesliga action against Stuttgart on Saturday exhausted and injury-plagued after their high-margin draw with Roma 4-4 in the Champions League.

Will Chicharito continue his run?

Bayer Leverkusen have played an exciting duel against Roma during the week in the UEFA Champions League encounter which ended in a 4-4 result. German team have now scored nine goals in the first three games of the CL season, and Javier Hernandez contributed with his brace against the Italian club. However, Chicharito is not in good form in Bundesliga, as he has bagged only once. The entire team has a lot of scoring issues as the total eight goals have been scored in nine games so far. The Werkself have notched back-to-back draws in the Bundesliga and are currently occupying the seventh place in the standings, but their recent form has been below par. Roger Schmidt’s troops will need to start creating more chances and be more efficient in the league if they are to secure the European football next season. Leverkusen manager is having a lot of problems with his team selection and will have his hands full with motivating the team which hasn’t recorded a win for almost a month.

With a long injury list to worry about, Schmidt will have to welcome Stuttgart without Tin Jedvaj who joins the long-term absentees Charles Aranguiz and Roberto Hilbert on the sidelines. The Croatian defender has been ruled out for the year with a serious knee ligament injury. In addition, Lars Bender and Stefan Kießlingare doubtful for the upcoming fixture.

Stuttgart hoping to gain momentum

Die Roten are coming to BayArena on the back of the win over the league newcomers Ingolstadt in the last round. What is more, Stuttgart are unbeaten in last two rounds, as they have managed to earn a point from a visit to Hoffenheim earlier this month. Newly appointed manager Alexander Zorniger has managed to shake things up, his team is playing good football, making it difficult for their opponents in every game and are just lacking goals. Daniel Didavi is the team’s top scorer this term with three games next to his name and Stuttgart manager will hope that the 25-year-old will continue his fine form against Leverkusen. Die Roten will be looking to gain momentum after their two-game unbeaten run and record a win over the tired rivals which would be a huge morale boost for Zorniger’s men. Stuttgart are currently sitting in the 15 place, just one position above the relegation line. They have recorded only two wins so far and last year’s strugglers want to avoid the relegation scare from last campaign.

Zorniger is facing selection problems as there are five player on the injury list. Mitchell Langerak, Robbie Kruse, Daniel Ginczek, Christian Gentner and one of the best performers last season Filip Kostic are all out due to their injuries. Geoffroy Serey Die is unavailable through suspension.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Stuttgart betting tip

Last three games between Saturday’s rivals have been openly contested affairs with a lot of goals. This time, with plenty of injury problems on both sides, we are in for a hard-fought affair with each side looking to earn a precious three points. Home side are favourites, but goals are a more tempting proposition.

Tip: Both teams to score
