Barcelona vs Sevilla Team News

Sandro Ramirez misses the match with injury, but he is the only absentee in Luis Enrique’s team ahead of the Copa del Rey final. Goalkeeper Bravo has recovered in time to face Sevilla, but he is likely to start the match from the bench. Leo Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar should be deployed up front in the 4-3-3 formation.

Injured: Sandro Ramirez (2/0)

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None

Michael Krohn-Dehli remains on the sidelines with a long-term injury, alongside Jose Antonio Reyes, Benoit Tremoulinas and Marco Andreolli remain in the recovery room, but Nico Pareja has overcome hi injury. Kolodziejzak and N’Zonzi are both out of contention through suspension. Adil Rami should recover in time to face Barcelona.

Quick Facts

  • Over 2.5 goals were scored in each of previous nine matches between the two teams
  • Barcelona are after their 28th Copa del Rey trophy
  • Sevilla failed to keep a clean sheet in last five fixtures
  • A win over Liverpool helped Sevilla put an end to their five-game winless run away from home
  • Barca defeated Athletic Bilbao in the 2014/2015 Spanish Cup final (3-1)

Barcelona vs Sevilla Prediction

Barcelona did well to win the La Liga trophy at the weekend, but they do not want to stop now. The Catalan giants aim to defend the Copa del Rey trophy and seeing that Sevilla head into the game following a victory over Liverpool in the Europa League final, I am tempted to put my money on the reigning champions. Barcelona have been impressive in La Liga of late and they are likely to crush los Sevillanos, who head into the match with a severely-weakened squad.
