Quick Facts

  • Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich meet for the first time ever in a competitive match
  • Los Rojiblancos are after their fifth consecutive clean sheet at home in the CL
  • Bayern Munich scored exactly two goals in each of their last three away games in the CL
  • Bavarians are on a seven-game unbeaten run in the elite competition
  • Under 2.5 goals were scored in five of Atletico Madrid’s last seven games in the CL

Atletico Madrid vs Bayern Munich Prediction

Atletico Madrid did remarkably well to eliminate Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals and considering that los Rojiblancos are tough to beat at home, there is every chance Diego Simeone’s troops will garb something from Wednesday’s showdown at Estadio Vicente Calderon. Atletico Madrid have been impressive at the back in the process and seeing that Pep Guardiola is likely to adopt a cautious approach in the first leg, there is every chance we will see a low-scoring affair in the Spanish capital. Taking everything into account, one goal should separate the two teams at “Calderon”.

Betting Tip: Under 2.5 goals
