Albania vs Ukraine Team News

Milot Rashica, Herolind Shala, Amir Rrahmani and Berat Gjimshiti have been discarded from the provisional Albania Euro 2021 squad. Albania League top scorer has been dropped earlier from the squad, but experienced defender Lorik Cana made the final roster. There are no uncapped players in the squad for the Ukraine friendly.

Teenager Oleksandr Zinchenko surprisingly made Ukraine Euro 2021 squad, but Oleh Gusev and Artem Kravets did not make the final roster. Experienced midfielder Anatoliy Tymoschuk is included, whilst Mykyta Kamenyuka, Evhen Shakhov, Ivan Petryak and Maxym Malyshev have been discarded by coach Mikhail Fomenko. Olexandr Kucher is pushing for a start after he came as a substitute in the 4-3 win over Romania. A man to watch in the away team will be Sevilla star Yevhen Konoplyanka.

Quick Facts

  • Over 1.5 goals were scored in Albania’s last six matches
  • Albania failed to keep a clean sheet in previous four home games
  • Ukraine are on a three-match winning run ahead of the trip to Albania
  • Albania are after their first ever win over Ukraine
  • Anatoliy Tymoshchuk could earn his 143rd cap for Ukraine against Albania

Albania vs Ukraine Prediction

Both Albania and Ukraine will take part at Euro 2021 and, no doubt, both teams will take Friday’s warm-up game very seriously. Mikhail Fomenko’s men impressed in the 4-3 win over Romania and given the attacking potential of the away team, I believe that the Ukrainians will record a win over Gianni De Biasi’s troops in Bergamo. Taking everything into account, the likes of Konoplyanka and Yarmolenko are likely to prove handful for the opposition defenders.

Betting Tip: Ukraine to win
