Team News

Coach Noel Sanvicente will make wholesale changes to the team that were beaten in Bolivia, with only three players expected to keep their places in the side.

Jose Manuel Velazquez has earned a starting berth with a good performance in La Paz, whilst Romulo Otero (8/2) should start on the left of midfield.

Luis Manuel Seijas was shown a red card in the 4-2 loss to Bolivia and, as a result, he will miss the Ecuador game through suspension, but Salomon Rondon and Jeffren Suarez will return after they were rested in La Paz.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Baroja – Rosales, Vizcarrondo, Velazquez, Cichero – Jeffren, Rincon, Lucena, Otero – C. Santos, S. Rondon.

Team News

Both Enner Valencia and Antonio Valencia remain in the treatment room, but it looks as though the duo has not been sorely missed in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

The likes of Renato Ibarra and Michael Arroyo are out of contention as well, but coach Gustavo Quinteros has no fresh injury worries ahead of the trip to Venezuela.

Following three straight victories at the start of the new qualifying campaign, the boss is unlikely to make serious changes to his starting line-up, although Esteban Dreen will replace the suspended Alexander Dominguez in goal and Gabriel Achilier is banned as well.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Dreer – Paredes, Erazo, Mina, Ayovi – F, Martinez, Noboa, Quinonez, Montero – Bolanos, Caicedo.
