UEFA Euro 2021: Seeding, Pots & Tickets

UEFA have moved to announce the four seeding pots for the UEFA European Championship 2016 draw following the conclusion of the four play-off ties.

Hungary, Republic of Ireland, Sweden and Ukraine were the final four sides to secure their places at the tournament finals via the play-offs, thus ensuring they will be at the draw taking place on 12 December in Paris.

It was already clear that hosts France would be assigned position one in Group A, while holders Spain, World Cup winners Germany, England, Portugal and Belgium complete Pot 1.

Having ended the run of losing five straight play-off ties, Ukraine secured their place in Pot 2, alongside Italy, Russia, Switzerland, Austria and Croatia.

Sweden and Hungary both made it to Pot 3 following their respective play-off wins, with Czech Republic, Poland, Romania and Slovakia also there.

Last but not least, Republic of Ireland, Wales and Northern Ireland face a difficult task having been all placed in Pot 4, with Turkey, Iceland and Albania the remaining three sides.

The 24 teams will be drawn into six groups of four teams, where the top two from each group as well as best four third-placed sides will qualify for the last 16 stage.

• Pot 3: Czech Republic, Sweden, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary

• Pot 4: Turkey, Republic of Ireland, Iceland, Wales, Albania, Northern Ireland
